Post-Op Day #5

So we had high hopes that Peyton might be able to go home today but that isn't going to happen. He has developed a rash and it needs to be under control before he can leave. It is believed to be from the tape used during surgery. He was put on hydrocortisone and benadryl and it has already started to work. He had a chest x-ray this morning and the doctor said that he still has a small pocket of moisture on his right lung that should be gone by tomorrow.

He was put on oral lasix to twice a day rather than three that tastes horrible and he is not a big fan of it. We had alot of visitors today. The Dukes from our ward came to see him and brought him some animal crackers and he was able to give big hugs and kisses.

Ashley and Rexton came to visit this afternoon and were able to take Peyton to the fun zone and play fooseball and Mario Kart on the WII.
