Florida - Day 6

WOW! How did we already get to day 6?!? Time seems to be flying by here. Today was quite the eventful day. First off, we woke up to it still raining. But we decided that we would still try to do SeaWorld...like originally planned. So we got breakfast and headed on our way. We were only driving about 35-40 mph on the freeway on the way there and then once we were in the parking lot, we sat there for about 5 minutes debating on whether to do it or not. Since we only have one day in SeaWorld we figured we should do it and hopefully the rain would let up a little. We got the kids covered as best we could and headed for the first gift shop we saw! We found one just outside the park entrance...along with everybody else that was brave enough to experience SeaWorld in the rain. We bought ponchos and umbrellas and went to the ticket takers. Then on to the stroller rental. We took cheap ponchos (the WalMart ones) and wrapped them on the stroller to cover it. And then we stuck an umbrella over the top. We put Tanner and Peyton in and away we went. We wandered around trying to go in to all the things that were inside. We started with the aquarium. We saw lots of fish and stingrays.

Then we headed to the penguin encounter. I love the penguins so this was fun for me.

Next we found the dolphins. We watched them from underwater (where it was dry) and then headed to the top.

I stood with the stroller undercover and Montana and Mason went to the edge to touch the dolphins. They had to take their ponchos off but they didn't care. Montana was able to touch one but Mason never had the opportunity. The whole time, the rain kept falling and the wind kept blowing. Peyton started to be pretty miserable. We walked past the stingray pool and decided to touch them. Montana, Mason, and I touched them but Peyton was done. So we decided to be done! By the time we got to the car, Montana and Mason were soaked, Peyton's shoes were soaked, and I was ready to be out of the rain. It was kinda fun while it lasted and we figured that we could go back if the rain let up a little. Well, the rain never let up and we never made it back! Oh well....guess we'll have to try to go to the one in California sometime when we are there for the beach! We decided after battling the rain for 2 1/2 hours that we would have lunch delivered to the villa. Well, they never answered the phone so Montana went out again and picked it up. And when we came home, the Fairy had delivered the boys' presents for the day. Each boy got their very own Mayor Clayton stuffed animal.

Then we went and had Peyton write on his star(it says "Peyton 2011") and give it to the Star Fairy.

Tomorrow we should be able to go back and see his star in the tower in the Castle of Miracles. And we also had three magic pillows made for the boys. There was an owl in a tree that made them for the boys with all of Peyton's happy thoughts and wishes.

Then we threw pennies into the wishing well to make noises! We stopped at the Ice Cream Palace for ice cream and then Montana took Tanner back to the villa for a nap. I took the boys to the Amberville Train Station to play games. They played arcade type games, we checked out the model train and village, and then ended it with Hot Wheels Car Racing on the WII. We came back to the villa and relaxed until dinner time. Then we ventured out in the rain again to eat dinner at the Gingerbread House. After that, we went to WalMart so we could pick up some Disney souvenirs. The boys got a stuffed animal and a T-shirt.

We got back to the village in time for Mayor Clayton's birthday party! They had dancing, singing, Icees, popcorn, cake, coloring, and face painting. We caught the bus to take us to the party and then as we were walking home in the rain, the bus stopped and picked us up again. We got home and got the kids ready for bed. Then Mayor Clayton and his wife, Mrs. Merry, showed up to tuck the kids into bed. Mason wouldn't have anything to do with them and hid behind the chair most of the time. Peyton and Tanner loved them and enjoyed seeing them. Then it was time to tuck the kids into bed and Peyton threw a fit cause he didn't want to go to bed. So, Mayor Clayton and Mrs. Merry laid down on the boys' beds to go to sleep.

And then they tucked me into Peyton's bed. And then their helper started a pillow fight with the Mayor.

And Montana joined in on that one for a minute. Finally they headed out to tuck more kids in bed and we put ours in bed. They continued to cry and throw fits because, according to Peyton, they didn't want to go to bed. But it was almost 9:30 and it was way past bedtime. We've got to get some sleep cause tomorrow is church in the morning and Universal Studios in the afternoon/evening...we hope. We just heard that there is a flood warning until Monday! Hopefully we can hit the indoor shows and rides tomorrow if it is still raining! Well, I'm off to bed! Goodnight! Oh, and this picture is of my Mickey Toes...just for you Amy!
