Florida - Day 3

Today was the day that we were headed on a mini road trip...to the coast! We had to be in Cocoa Beach by 9:30AM for our boat cruise. We left a couple of hours before in case we hit traffic. But that wasn't an issue. We got there in a little over an hour. So we stood around and waited. At least we were on time and didn't miss the boat!

There were only two other groups of people on the boat. It was really low key. We rode down the Banana River looking for bird, manatees and dolphins. We saw quite a few birds and quite a few manatees. The manatee like to stay under water and they only come up for a moment to catch a breath. Therefore, we have NO pictures of them! But we did get a little video.

And about half way through, we saw a dolphin! It was too quick to catch a photo and so we videoed and we didn't see it again. We continued on and had a great time just relaxing on the boat and looking at the beautiful scenery. On our way back to the dock, we saw about 5 dolphins! This time they were right in front of the boat and once we passed them, they followed the boat! We got video of that but again, no pictures. Then the captain let Tanner and Peyton help him drive the boat.

It was so much fun and the group that was on the boat was so good with our very talkative children. After the boat cruise, we headed to the Cocoa Beach Pier. We ate lunch on the pier and our table looked out over the ocean!

It was beautiful. After lunch, we walked the rest of the pier and then headed to the van to change.

We got a couple of boogie boards and headed out to swim in the Atlantic Ocean. The water temperature was in the 80's and it was so nice. Everybody boogie boarded, except Tanner. He cried and whined when I put him in the water and/or the sand. He finally just fell asleep on my lap! And he got a pretty good nap.

Then we cleaned off, changed, and headed to the Ron Jon Surf Shop. We wandered around taking pictures then began the journey back to the hotel.

We decided to drive to Port Canaveral to see if we could see any cruise ships. There was one that was leaving the dock right when we got there. It was so HUGE!

We headed back to the hotel for dinner, showers, and bed. Now the kids are sound asleep, I'm finishing my blog catch up and then headed to bed. We had a beautiful, relaxing, wonderful day today! And tomorrow we head to Give Kids The World and begin our official wish trip! And we also get to head to the Disney Parks tomorrow! So, hopefully pictures of Mickey will be coming shortly! There is no internet connection in the villas at the village so I'm not sure that our daily adventures will get blogged until we get home. But just know that we are having a blast and loving our vacation in Florida!

MEL!!! I've been thinking about you guys a TON and now that my mom is gone, you are making me SO ANXIOUS to go to Florida! We're still trying to decide which park we're going to & I'm thinking well hit the less adult exciting ones since I'll just have the boys. Cade's never even been to Hollywood Studios. I found an AWESOME experience - Richard Petty Driving Experience for only $100 to drive a race car (or be a passenger), but my bro gets half off. I think I'll do it for Austin next time.
Anyway, if you get this, Cade mentioned he'd like to see Peyton in Florida - we'll be there Tuesday at 4:15 so we could come that night, if you wanted. If not, we'll see you back in COLD Utah! (another thing that's making me anxious)
