We walked in and wandered around on the boardwalks which go over the gators. The gators were everywhere.
We thought the man on this board looked like Uncle Greg!
We fed a few of them and they went crazy...as long as the food landed fairly close to their mouths! We saw the white alligators, the snakes, the large tortoise, and the Everglades.
They have a separate boardwalk that goes through the Everglades and it was so neat. So many trees and shrubs....it was beautiful! Then we hurried to catch the first show. We went to the Gator Jumperoo Show. The men that did all the shows were so funny and made you laugh a ton during the shows. During this first show, the men used chickens to make the gators jump and try to get the chickens.
It was a great show to start off our day! Then we went to the 2nd show which was the Close Encounters Show. This one introduced us to a few animals...up close. They had tarantulas and a few large snakes. The boys loved it! Then we ate lunch and headed to the Gator Wrestling Show. Before the show started, we had the opportunity to go out on to the sand and sit on the gator. I took Tanner with me and he cried the minute he realized that we were gonna sit on the gator.
Peyton wouldn't have anything to do with it. We did get him out on the sand but that was it. Mason was a pro!
He walked right out and sat on it and got his picture taken. Montana just thought it was so cool to sit on a gator.
Then we watched the show!
It was quite amazing.
We let the kids run through the splash pad and Mason was soaked by the time we were done!
After the shows were over, we headed to the train and took a short ride through the area of the park that we had yet to walk through.
After the train ride, we started to walk through the rest of the park. But it was so hot and humid that we were done.
The kids were all riding in the strollers and Montana and I were hot and tired. So we headed out of Gatorland. We had a blast and really enjoyed the shows and seeing the gators. We came back to the hotel for a little bit to decide what we wanted to do next. We decided to head over to I-Drive and see what that was all about. We drove down that and then headed back to Downtown Disney. I still wanted to get lots of pictures and see more than what we got to see the first day.
And then we decided to head to the hotel, order pizza, and let the kids swim. Montana and Tanner waited for the pizza while I took Mason and Peyton to the pool and the splash zone. They were so cute running through the splash zone...I was just sad that I didn't have the camera with me! We came back to eat pizza and then crash! We wanted the kids to go to bed at a reasonable time since we are headed to the coast tomorrow. It took a little bit for them to wind down but then they crashed. And tomorrow we will head to the coast!
