When that was done, we were down to everything except the large suitcases and the carseats. When we checked our bags, the man that helped us told us to make sure we got in the family line at security. So we headed inside and towards security. When we got there, the line was ridiculously long and I started to panic. I asked a security worker where the family line was and he led us past tons of people. He opened up another line and we followed it up to the front of the line! It took us a little bit to get through security since we had to send everything, including the strollers, through the x-ray machine. And then when Mason went through, he beeped....which meant that he was randomly chosen to have his hands swabbed. He started to freak out a little and cry. So, the security worker said that I was chosen instead. They swabbed my hands and everything was fine. We packed up all of our stuff again and headed to the gate. The boys were so excited to see airplanes.
There was another flight leaving before ours so the boys watched that plane leave the gate. And waited and waited and waited for our plane to show up. We talked to the workers at the gate to see if the boys could meet the pilot. They said that would be fine but as it got closer to leaving, the told us they didn't know if it would happen because our plane was late arriving. So, by the time we were boarding they were trying to get everybody on as fast as possible. Therefore, the boys didn't have the opportunity to meet the pilot but that was okay. We got situated ....Montana with the two older boys and me with Tanner across the aisle. I had a young couple sitting next to me. Tanner was okay for the first little bit and then nothing I had in the bag made him happy.
He finally ate a little bit of his sandwich and then threw another fit. So, I strapped him into the snuggly and headed to the back of the plane to rock him to sleep. After about 30 minutes, he finally fell asleep. And at that point, the flight crew was serving snacks and drinks. I ended up standing in the back for a good hour before I got back to my seat. Tanner then slept for about 45 minutes and then proceeded to be a little pill for most of the flight....except he didn't really scream at this point. I was so glad when we finally landed and got our strollers back cause then I could strap him in. We got off the plane and headed to baggage claim. We collected the suitcases and carseats and headed to the rental car counter. After we got the paperwork done for the rental car we went and picked it up. We got a brand new Chrysler Town and Country....with only 14 miles on it!
And it has a back up camera which is quite awesome! We headed out of the airport and to the hotel with no problems. The directions I had printed from Google Maps worked and we made it in one piece to the hotel.
We checked in and unloaded. We took a breather and headed over to Downtown Disney.
We wandered around looking for dinner and looking at things. We found the T-Rex restaurant that had previously said they were booked. We walked up and asked how long the wait would be. They said 5-10 minutes. So we waited. This restaurant was like the Mayan. They have dinosaurs that move and then a little mini show where all the dinosaurs go crazy at once. Peyton freaked out almost the whole time. He finally calmed down right before we left.
It was such a cool restaurant and Mason LOVED it. We went to the Disney Store to get the boys their autograph books. And headed back to the hotel to crash....and we crashed. We all so tired. It was a fun and stressful day but we survived! And tomorrow we are headed to Gatorland!
