Brock a.k.a. Papa wanted to get the boys a dog. So, we let him! The dog is a boy and his name is Trigger. He is about three months old right now. He is pretty well behaved. He is potty trained, he sits, he comes when called, and he goes into his kennel when we tell him to. The boys love him....especially Tanner. Peyton is still a little afraid but Mason is doing really well with him. In fact, today Montana asked me to let him out and Mason said, "No, mom, I'll do it. It's my dog." He certainly is growing up!
We found out the hard way that Mason is allergic to fresh cut grass. Who would have thunk? Here's a picture of his eyes when we realized the truth.....
HopeKids invited us to the Living Planet Aquarium so we decided to go. The boys enjoyed looking at all the cool animals. But they wouldn't touch the sting rays. (I wouldn't touch them either!)
I was moving the BBQ grill (that Montana told me he would move) and I stubbed my toe really bad. When I looked down, I realized that I had ripped my toenail completely off. It was at a 90 degree to my toe! We headed over to InstaCare to get taken care of. They got the toenail off and wrapped it up real good for me. I had to keep it completely bandaged for a few weeks. And now it just has a band-aid on it until the nail grows in all the way. The nail is probably 1/4 of the way right now. And I can finally wear my tennis shoes again. I was joking that it wouldn't have happened if I wasn't wearing flip flops when I moved the grill but then again, if it wasn't summer, I wouldn't have been wearing flip flops! Needless to say, I'm a little hesitant about moving that grill anymore! (DISCLAIMER - Don't look at the first picture if you might get queasy...It's not real pleasant.)
Tanner got his first hair cut at 14 months of age! I was hesitant for awhile cause I didn't want my baby to grow up. But then I realized it was out of control and something had to be done. So the scissors came out....but I wouldn't let them take off too much! I love spiked hair on little boys!
Every June, we head to Orem for Summerfest with Jon and Kassie and their boys. This year was no exception. We let the boys ride a few rides, we ate dinner, listened to a band, got Mason's face painted and headed home. Fun times with good friends = LOVE!
Father's Day came and went with not much happening. Montana had to work but we made sure to let him open his present before. He enjoyed his present...after all, he picked it out! I am so grateful to have him as the father of my children. He is a great dad and the boys and I love him so much! Mason made him a cute little "card" out of the cardboard piece that was in the present!
Now if I can only get the final few posts done in the next couple of days. But for now, I'm headed to bed!
