That's right...he's drinking from a sippy cup! We decided to put PediaSure in the sippy cup and see how much he would drink. We got 5 oz down him on Sunday as well as 5 oz on Monday...all by mouth. I never thought this day would come. So, today I decided to count his calories and not give him any milk through his tube. And, of course, he is a stinker today and he hasn't hardly touched his PediaSure...or his juice! At least I know he will drink from a straw so we are definitely making progress. Also, Peyton had his first hair cut a little over a week ago. He screamed almost the whole time. But now his hair is controllable!
Mason had his very first dentist appointment last week and he was scared to death to go. He watched me get my teeth cleaned first and finally let the dentist look in his mouth and count his teeth. And he eventually got in the chair...without me! He is growing up so fast!
Our 5 year anniversary was Saturday and Montana and I had decided that we were going to go to dinner and see a movie. Well, Montana blindfolded me on Saturday morning and put me in a car with a friend and said, "See ya later...have fun!" Kassie took me to a number of places that had meaning to us while we were dating. It was fun spending time with Kassie and being away from the boys. Montana met us at the last place...RC Willey...where he proposed...and asked me to marry him again! (I only got a ring pop this time!) Then, he sent Kassie to meet her husband at our house and to babysit the boys for the rest of the day! Montana and I went to Gardner Village (It was cool but sad cause we are poor and you need money to buy stuff there!), Temple Square to take a tour of the Brigham Young Home, then we went to play mini golf, went to dinner, and then to a movie. It was so fun to get away from the boys for a day and not know it was coming. But I was happy to get home and see them again too! It was a great day and I still can't believe it's already been 5 years!

Melanie,
Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog! It is so nice to have IHH and the connection to other heart families. Peyton is a cutie. Glad that his helmet is off and happy anniversary! Sounds like you have a stellar hubby to plan a wonderful day! Keep checking in with us and I will do the same!

HORRAY FOR PEYTON!!! It is so frustrating when they have a GREAT day and drink so much then have a day where they want NOTHING. Someday we'll be able to bribe them :)
Yea that is so great you got him to drink from a sippy cup. Kylie does the same thing, you think you got it down so you pull the tube, then the next day they don't eat at ALL! The haircuts are just tortue huh? My boys just hate them.
Happy Aniversary! Wow 5 years that is so GREAT. Sounds like you had lots of fun and don't worry we are poor also and don't even go to dinner. Just $5 pizza at home for us. :) oh well the memories we make by being poor. Looks like you guys are doing great. We will have to get together some time when you are up this way.
