CHD Awareness

Since this week is Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Week, I've decided to upload the video that we made in December 2008 of Peyton's first little while. We are so grateful for this sweet, cute little miracle that we get to call our own! I'm a little nervous going into surgery again but I know that everything will work out the way it is supposed to. Also, he is going in for an MRI before surgery to get a good 3D look at his heart. He also had to wear a Holter Device for 24 hours which he did awesome with. Hopefully this will be the last of the pre-op stuff, besides lab work. Enjoy the video!

Had to choke back a few tears on that one! He really is such a miracle and it was so great to look back on everything and think about him now. Amazing! We love that little Peyton and were lucky to be a part of some of those memories. (Though helping with the feeding tube wasn't my favorite :))
So happy he is so strong and doing well and miss seeing you all the time!

Hi Melanie,

I came over to check in and saw that Peyton is really close to his Fontan! Do you have a date yet? I will be watching closely as we just found out that Grant needs his sooner than we thought and we will be planning on surgery in the next few months (if he is a candidate!). We will be at Primary's on March 11th for Grant's pre op cath, so if you are there, we will try to come by and say hi. We will be thinking and praying for you guys!
