and it was less than $10! It even converts to a step stool and a potty seat that fits on top of the toilet. Then Mason picked out Skittles and JujyFruits

and a reward/sticker chart. We came home and got the potty set up, the candy in a tupperware, and the sticker chart on the fridge. We put the Lightning McQueen Pull-Ups on Mason and explained to him that he didn't want to get Lightning McQueen wet. He did really well for awhile and then we went outside for a little bit. Before I knew it, he was wet! We came inside and put a real diaper on him. Right before bed, he came running to me saying that he had to go. So, we ran to the potty chair, tore off the diaper, and he sat down. The next thing we know, there's poop in the potty! Mason got so excited that he was clapping for himself and saying Yay!!! We all went to bed with high hopes of potty training today. When we woke up this morning, we immediately put Mason on the potty chair and told him to try to go. He didn't so we put on big boy underwear. He ran around and played for about 1 1/2 hours. I continually asked him if he needed to go and he always said no. I left the room for a couple of minutes to get Peyton his food and Mason came in and was soaked. I asked him if he was wet and he didn't even realize that he was. So, we put him in the shower, cleaned up the pee spot on the carpet, and put a Pull-Up on him. A couple hours later, Mason had peed in the Pull-Ups. I then made an executive decision that he would run around naked and hopefully then he would know what it feels like to pee. It only took about 30 minutes before he came running to me saying that he had peed on the rug by the front door while he was trying to go see his friend Ty, who was outside! So, the rug went in the washer with the rest of the clothes that had pee on them. At this point, I thought, maybe we should wait to train him...maybe he's just not ready. As I was thinking about this, Mason sat down on his potty chair and pooped without being asked to try. So, we got excited and he got candy and a sticker. I cleaned up the potty and then called Montana. As I was talking to him, I was watching Mason. Mason all of a sudden, stood up and walked to the potty and sat down. The next thing I know, Mason has peed in the potty!!! I think he is finally getting it. He got excited about that too and continues to run around naked in hopes that he will go in the potty chair again. So, if you feel like potty training after this synopsis, go ahead. If you get any better ideas, where you're not running the washer all day long, let me know!

Good luck and maybe I'll wait until Mason has mastered it until I try with Ty. Sorry about the distraction, we were only out for a minute.
NICE JOB MOMMY! All I have to say is that you are having AMAZING results! He must be ready to have caught on that fast! Yeah!!!
Ugh! We have been there. Cleaning up so much pee! We did the naked thing too. Mason is doing great though from the sounds of it! Usually, the pooping is harder. Anyway, I can't wait for you to be done!
I don't think there's a way to do it without lots of laundry. For Alexis we just put a bunch of towels on the living room floor, put the potty out there and stayed there all day, with her wearing nothing but underwear. It seemed to work pretty well. I heard you need to have the toilet relatively close by them at first so they don't have to hold it very long. Good job Mason!
Way to go Mason!
I can't make myself believe Mason is old enough to potty train already, and I haven't seen him yet! He is doing sooooo good. Mel, you must be doing lots of things right.Keep up the good work Mommy and Mason.
Hey guys, congrats on the potty training! Funny that we get excited over things like that. Anyways, are you guys going to the beech this year? I have tried to call Montana a few times but I guess the number that I had was disconnected. We are flying over on the 28th and will be there for the 4th. Call us sometime. 718-5937. Peace out! D and Nat
I hated potty training. But luckily, Forrest went straight to the big toilet and it only took me a couple weeks to do. NIGHTMARE of a two weeks, but we survived. Now I get to look forward to potty-training Nadia. Good thing she still has a little while before I have to worry about it too much. good luck!

I took a break from training him, and am starting up again this next week. I ordered that DVD, so hopefully something will help! Thanks so much for the idea!;) I have a blog as well.
