I'm From Vegas!

This week was Spring Break.  So, Montana and I decided to drop the kids off to my mom and head to Las Vegas with Austin for a little break.  We thoroughly enjoyed just having one child to take care of for a few days.  We stayed at a hotel off the strip and then we would drive to the Strip and park.  The first evening, we went to dinner at the Wynn buffet.  It was really pricey but had lots of good food.  And the dessert bar was AMAZING!  We walked around a little bit after dinner and then decided to go sleep!  Montana had worked the night before and hadn't slept at all that day so he was exhausted.  And Austin just wanted to lay on the bed after being in his car seat most of the day.

The second day we had to stop and see the Gold and Silver Pawn shop where the TV show Pawn Stars is filmed.  Too bad we didn't get to meet anybody famous!  And then we went on a gondola ride at the Venetian.  It was perfect weather, Austin loved the boat ride, and our 'driver' was funny and a great singer.

Then we headed to the Wax Museum.  That was awesome.  It was crazy how real all the people looked.

We walked the rest of the Strip down to Coke World.  We stopped along the way and got some lunch.  It was quite warm but we survived!  We decided to order the "Taste Around The World" tray where we were able to sample 16 different Coke products from around the world.  Some were absolutely disgusting, some were way too sweet, and some were quite enjoyable.

We took the Monorail back to our car and drove to the Ethel M. Chocolate Factory.  We were able to see a few chocolates being made, sample some chocolate and brittle, and then we had to buy some for the road.  It was delicious.

We stopped at another hotel to check out their mermaid show but it was not worth the drive.  Then we hit up another buffet for dinner and headed back to the hotel.

The next morning, we packed up and headed to the outlets.  We walked around, shopped, ate, and were on our way home.  It was fun and a much needed break.  Thanks to my parents for taking the other three kids so we could get a break!
