We've had a few of these this month. Mason and I headed off to the dentist at the beginning of the month for cleanings. Almost everything looked good. I have a small cavity but we are waiting until after the baby is born to fix it. And Mason needs his 6 year molars sealed. Then Dr. Dave proceeded to tell me that Mason needed to be seen by the orthodontist since his bottom teeth stick out over his top teeth on one side in the back of his mouth. So, we scheduled that appointment....
Montana needed to have a follow up with the orthodontist so we decided to take both of them at the same time. Montana's teeth looked really good and he doesn't go back for 6 months! Mason had his consultation done. They decided that he needs an expander on the roof of his mouth to push the teeth out so they are even with the bottom teeth. They also want to brace his four front teeth together so the expander doesn't push them apart. This will also create a little more space for Mason's adult teeth to come in. The orthodontist wants to see Mason again in 6 months and see what his mouth is looking like then. At that point, we might start with the expander. Mason wasn't thrilled about it but he's okay with waiting 6 more months!
Peyton also had a cardiology appointment this month! They didn't do an ECHO so we were in and out in about an hour which is record time. They did an EKG which looked great. And then the Cardiologist talked to us. She said he is looking and sounding great. She said his heart almost sounds normal! We decided to slow down on his Lasix in hopes of one day being off of it completely. Since we are doing a slight med change, we will go back in 6 months and see how he is handling the change. We will also do an ECHO at that appointment. We are so blessed that Peyton is doing so well. He is such a joy to have around!
As for me, I am 31 weeks pregnant and my iron is low! My iron is always low when I'm pregnant so I just have to try to get more in me. All in all, I'm feeling good and hanging in there!
