We had lots of little fun things planned in August. We had the Wall Family Reunion at Antelope Island. It was fun...so much fun that I don't have one single picture from it!
We went to Heart Camp! Mason was at the family reunion with my parents and siblings. The reunion was at the Great Basin National Park and the elevation was too high for Peyton to go. So, we sent Mason with my parents and stayed home with Peyton and Tanner. It was nice to only have the younger two at heart camp. We had tons of fun and met tons of new heart friends. And, of course, it was great to see all of our old heart friends too!
The next week was our last week before school started. So, we rested and relaxed. And Tanner drew all over my couches with dry erase marker. He's the first child I've had that has done that!
We took the kids to the Utah County Fair the weekend before school started. We looked at all the animals and then headed to the rodeo. It was way low key and super fun. We had front row seats and the boys really enjoyed watching everything.
Mason started 2nd grade on August 21. He wasn't way excited to go but he is enjoying himself. His teacher, Mr. Trotter, is an intern this year and I think that's a little bit harder on Mason. He seems to like his teacher. He had to change desks already since the boy he was sitting next to kept bugging him and talking to him so he couldn't pay attention. Now Mason tells me that he talks to the girl next to him because they are pretty good friends!
The traditional bus cake!
Peyton celebrated his 5th birthday! I can't believe that he is already 5. I feel like we just had him and just went through all of the surgeries and everything with him. And to think that he is now starting Kindergarten! He had a few friends over for cake and ice cream.
We got Peyton's 504 plan in place with the school so that he could start Kindergarten. His teacher and the principal are so good to work with us. His teacher this year is Mrs. Unufe - the same teacher Mason had. Peyton tested pretty low at the beginning of the year so we decided to put him in all day Kindergarten. He is doing okay but struggling a little bit with adjusting to being away from Mom for 6 hours a day! But, he LOVES to buy school lunch and eat lunch there so that's a positive!
We also had the opportunity to go to the Make A Wish Family Reunion. It is called the Rubber Ducky Derby and people sponsor ducks that race in the lazy river at a local pool. We got to play in the pool, see lots of super heroes, watch the ducks race, eat lunch, make crafts, and get balloon animals/things. Montana was sick so he wasn't able to join us. They even had the local news helicopter there and the boys got to watch it take off. It was a great day!
I had my ultrasound on the 27th of August. And we are having another BOY! I wasn't really surprised. I kept telling myself that it was gonna be a boy so I wouldn't be disappointed when it wasn't a girl. We are excited and now I just have to wait for him to make his appearance. He is starting to move a lot and I'm thinking the boys and Montana will be able to feel their brother/son in the next little bit. Here's a picture of me at 19 weeks!
And, for Labor Day, we decided to move the two older boys downstairs and make room upstairs for the baby. It was a long day but we got everything all moved! Now we just have to move Mason's and Peyton's clothes and move some stuff into the attic and we will be set!
We've been busy but hanging in there. It's nice to be back on the school schedule and feel like I can get the house cleaned and things taken care of!
