2nd Grade Presentation

The 2nd graders at Mason’s school put on a presentation about the United States and our freedoms.  It had some speaking parts but was mostly singing.  It was so fun to watch Mason.  He didn’t have a speaking part but at the last minute, somebody didn’t show up and Mason ended up speaking.  He did really well!

New Dog

Yep, you read that right!  We got a new dog.  I found a shitzu that somebody was just fiving away.  Montana has always wanted one since he grew up with them.  I was okay getting one as long as it was free and okay with the kids.  They don’t shed and that is a must if it’s gonna be inside.  So, I found one and Montana went and picked him up.  His name is Oscar and he is 8 years old.  He is so good with the kids and after he figured out that we were in charge, he stopped having accidents in the house!

Valentine’s Day

This year we didn’t do much!  Mason and Peyton had parties at school and exchanged valentines.  We got each of the boys a box of chocolate.  Montana got me a sand bucket full of chocolate.  And I got him the Duck Dynasty book.  We made a huge sugar cookie for Eric and delivered it to him.

Also, Mason got glasses!  He was complaining of headaches for a few months so I thought he might need his eyes checked.  Eh always told me they were fine.  Well, he finally admitted to me that he couldn’t see the board at school.  I needed to make myself an eye appointment so I made one for Mason as well.  And sure enough, his eyes are about as bad as mine!  So, we picked out some glasses and they came in on Valentine’s Day.  I think he looks quite handsome!

CHD Day 1

Today is the first day of Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Week.  Each day, I'll post another fact about CHD's.  We are so grateful that our journey down this road is going so well right now.  Peyton is growing, developing, and learning.  He is one smart cookie!  And we love him a lot!

A Real Bath

Austin's umbilical cord finally fell off on February 2.  That means he can have a real bath.  But this busy momma didn't get around to it for a few days.  I needed Montana to be around when we did it so he could take pictures.  So, it finally happened last night!  Austin didn't really like it and screamed through the whole thing.  But he smelled ten times better!

Super Bowl Sunday

It's Superbowl Sunday and we are enjoying it together as a family.  We usually get together with friends or family but since Austin is still so little, we decided to do our own little thing.  I bought fun "Superbowl" food and we ate and watched the game...and the commercials!

Two Week Check-Up

Austin had his two week check up.  He is getting really big!  He weighed 8 lbs 4 oz and was 21 in long.  I must have good milk cause he isn't getting any smaller.  He's got a double chin and chunky cheeks!  Everything looked good at the doctor.  Nothing to worry about with this one.  His heart sounds good, his sats are good, and his head is fine!  We are so grateful for another healthy little boy!!!

One Week

Austin is a week old!  And doing so well!

Grandma Randee also came to visit.  We have been lounging around and cuddling this sweet baby boy!  She also broke her foot so she has a boot on it.  And she has to use a scooter thing when out and about.  Of course, my boys LOVE to play on it!

Austin's First Bath

My mom usually gives our kids their first spit bath when she stays.  So, of course, she had to do Austin's as well.

And then we did our own little photo shoot!

Dads and Doughnuts

The Kindergartners do a little thing called Dads and Doughnuts.  The Dads get to come to the classroom and the Kindergartners read to them.  Then they get to eat doughnuts!  Peyton was so excited for Montana to go to his class!
