In the summer, we really enjoy hiking together as a family. We have been quite busy this year but we did do a hike to Grotto Falls up Payson Canyon. We have done it before and love it so much that we went again. The kids can hike it by themselves which makes it a little easier.

Fourth of July
We spent the fourth of July in Provo this year. Montana had to work so he met up with us in the morning for the parade, slept during the day, and was up to watch fireworks with us that evening. We went to the Provo City parade in the morning. Shelise and her kids had come down to spend the holiday with Trevor's family so we met up with them for a little bit after the parade. It was really hot and we didn't want to spend tons of time outside in the heat. In the evening, we headed to Jon and Kassie Voigt's house for a barbeque dinner and fireworks in their cul-de-sac. Then we drove to a hill in Provo to watch the fireworks from the Stadium of Fire show at BYU. It was a long, fun day!

Trigger
We had to get rid of our dog, Trigger. He was just too much for us to handle right now. He needed a much bigger area to run around and we just couldn't offer him that. But, before he left, we had to take some pictures.... And I will just post the family one!

Well, Austin is 5 months old and we figured we should probably try a little bit of baby food. Here he is trying his first rice cereal!

The Hogle Zoo
For my mom's family reunion this year, Uncle Kevin Wall took all of us to the Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake City. Montana wasn't able to go with us this time. The kids had a blast seeing the new Arctic exhibit. They saw the sea lions, the polar bear, the black bears, and the otters. They also enjoyed seeing the monkeys and watching the bird show! It was so fun spending time with lots of family and seeing the kids excitement when they would see the animals.

Father's Day
This year, Father's Day was the day after our family reunion. We didn't do much but we are very grateful for Montana and the wonderful father he is to our children. We are also grateful for my dad and Montana's dad and for the example they are to our children as well. The Elders came over for dinner so they were able to be here when Montana opened his presents.

Family Reunion
This year, for the Thayne Family Reunion, we headed down to Manti, Utah and camped right by the Manti Temple. We played games, the kids swam, we went 4-wheeling, and visited the temple. We had lots of fun staying up late and laughing with each other. Can't wait for next year!

Farmers Market
We have decided to sell Monster Burgers at the Provo Farmers Market this summer. The first day that Montana ran the booth, I came over with the boys to check it out. The new splash pad in Provo opened up recently as well so I let the boys play there for awhile. They really enjoyed the splash pad and then being able to eat a Monster Burger at the Farmers Market!

Austin - Almost 5 months
Austin is almost 5 months old and he has started curling the tip of his tongue. I used to do this when I was about the same age. Like Mother, Like Son...

Austin is 4 months!
Well, actually he is almost 5 months but we didn't make it to the doctor until now! Austin is growing like a weed. Here are his stats:
Weight: 14 lbs (14%)
Height: 24.5 in (8%) (The doctor thinks this wasn't measured correctly.)
Head: 16.7 in (56%)
Austin has found his hands and his feet. He loves to chew on everything. If he can grab it, it will promptly go in his mouth. He is starting to drool and I think teeth might be coming in the near future. He laughs at his brothers...especially Peyton. He thinks he is hilarious. He has such a cute laugh. He is almost rolling over. We rolls to his side whenever we lay him on the floor. He will be all over the floor before we know it! He is growing so fast and is such a joy to have around. He is a very happy and content little baby. And we love having him in our family!

Mason's Baptism
Today was Mason's baptism! What a wonderful and special day it was. We were up most of the night with a very fussy baby. Finally, Montana ran to the store to get ear drops and Ibuprofen. Brock came over and helped give Austin a blessing. We gave him ibuprofen and drops in his ears. He nursed really well and then slept for a few hours until the baptism. I love that Montana can give his children blessings when they need them. I believe Satan was trying to get in the way of the baptism today.
We had all of Montana's family over for breakfast in the morning. It was chaos but fun! Then we headed to the church. Mason was excited and nervous. He had a hard time eating breakfast! (He sounds just like his mother!) The baptismal service was wonderful. The speakers were wonderful and the baptism and confirmation were wonderful. All of my family and all of Montana's family were able to be there. It was so neat to watch Mason. He is a wonderful boy and I love watching him make these righteous choices in his life. He is such a good big brother and he has a heart of gold. It's fun to see him grow up and become a righteous young man. We are so proud of him and the decision he made to be baptized.
After the baptism, we went to a park for lunch. It was nice to relax and visit.
It was such a special day for us. Mason, we love you and think you are amazing!
